Elite is pleased to announce the launch of spring 2019 Enrichment Programs for students in Math, English Reading & Writing as following. Programs will start on January 12, 2019.

TJ prep for 7th Grade: Sunday: 8:30 am– 11:30 am 
Class size: limited to 10 students. This class is designed for 7th graders who are planning to take the TJ admission test in 2018. TJ admissions has turned to ACT (Aspire portion) and Quant Q. The test consist of 28 question/50 minute section of “Quant Q” math, 32 question/65 minute Aspire Reading, and 40 question/60 minute Aspire Science. To achieve a high score 7th grade students have to start early to prepare Reading and Science. This class guides students toward a total success approach where we guide students on every facet of TJ admission including what extracurricular activities to take, how to screen teachers to insure that students get the best recommendations possible, and other important strategies. 8:30 – 10:00 Reading & Writing; 10:00 – 11:30 Science-ACT Aspire)

SAT English Reading writing for 8th Grade graders: Sunday 9:30 am – 12:30pm
This class is designed for students who are planning to take New Format SAT in middle school for qualifying CTY program and other colleges’ enrichment program as well as to achieve high SAT scores in grade 7 and 8. This class focuses on helping students build a solid foundation in four vital language areas and covers multiple levels of vocabulary, reading comprehension strategies, grammar/composition, essay writing skills, logical reasoning scrambled paragraphs, and sentence completions This class is designed for students who are planning to take New Format SAT in middle school for qualifying CTY program and other colleges’ enrichment program as well as to achieve high SAT scores in grade 7 and 8. This class focuses on helping students build a solid foundation in four vital language areas and covers multiple levels of vocabulary, reading comprehension strategies, grammar/composition, essay writing skills, logical reasoning scrambled paragraphs, and sentence completions

Intensive SAT for Grade 11: Sunday 8:30 – 11:30 am
This class is designed to fully prepare students in English and Math for SAT exams to be taken in their 11th graders who is planning to take test in March 2019. The teaching plan focuses on academic knowledge, time-management, and test-taking strategies. Students will take 6 full-length exams to measure progress. They are expected to achieve high score in SAT

SAT Subject Test Math II- Pre Calculates: Sunday 8:30 – 10:30 am
This course is designed for students who have successfully completed the standards for Algebra I&II and Geometry and prepare for SAT Subject Test II – Math in May. Topics studied include graphing, analyzing, and interpreting functions including polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions; systems of linear equations and inequalities; matrices; conic sections; exponents and radicals

6th grade Reading/Writing: Sunday 8:30 am – 10:30 am
This is long term program to build a solid foundation in critical reading and writing. During each session, teachers will review the concepts topic. Students are also given homework assignments to build on the topics discussed in the classroom. Timed quizzes are conducted on the topics discussed in the class to measure the students’ grasp of the concepts. This course is designed to target 2 grade levels above and help 6th graders to qualify for the CTY programs as well as beginning their SAT preparation early and improve their scores

5th grade Reading/Writing: Sunday 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
This 5th Grade Enrichment Course is a wonderful opportunity to enrich Writing skills required for academic excellence. This comprehensive course is offered over the academic years and designed to enable 5th graders to be 2 grade levels ahead of the state requirements, and develop a strong foundation in vocabulary, reading, and writing to do better in all the subjects at school. It covers multiple levels of vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, and different types of writing skills

6th grade Math class – 7th grade SOL math prep: Sunday 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
This course is aimed at helping 6th graders do well in 7th grade math SOL test. FCPS evaluates student IAAT and 7th grade SOL to decide if a 6th grader is legible for Algebra 1 in 7th grade. 6th graders of FCPS will take IAAT in January. Students must score above 91% tile on IAAT and pass advanced on the 7th grade SOL to qualify for Algebra 1 in 7th grade. Tony Lee has taught 7th Grade SOL prep class for 5 years. Students will take at least 4 full length mock tests in this class.

Math Contest Training (MCT) Program
MCT program offers an extensive training to students from Grade 5 to middle school who
  • have demonstrated intellectual curiosity in math;
  • wish to learn in a systematic and competitive environment;
  • are eager to explore their potentials and widen their visions.

Students will be able to excel in math by the best problem solver training, and arouse their math inspiration into college and beyond.
